Speaker 3:Okay, we're on the line, Holy smokes already. Mm-hmm. Beautiful sunny morning, cold August morning it's only like 15 degrees out there.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we're not going to talk about that?
Speaker 3:Okay, okay, let's not talk about that. Yeah, we won't talk about that, because that's exactly what we're about. You know how you use your mind. It's amazing how we can all just use our own mind to make our life unhappy or make our life happy. That that's uh. I think that's the magic um to learn how to use your mind to improve your experience, improve your life.
Speaker 2:We're all very good at thinking unhappy things.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we're really practiced at that, aren't we? Yeah, we're really good at finding limitations and restrictions and predicting negative outcomes. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Limitations and restrictions and predicting negative outcomes, yeah, and it seems almost silly to us to just do the opposite, to predict positive outcomes, to anticipate wonderful things yeah, I wonder, I wonder why.
Speaker 2:I mean, maybe it's that that part of us that thinks that, like what we were talking about this morning. You know part of us things. Well, what's the good in that? Or what if I? What if I don't stay happy, or what if I don't stay peaceful is? Or what if I don't stay peaceful? Is it worth it then?
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's amazing, the goofy stuff that we have programmed in and it's it is the stuff we've programmed in has such a negative result and a negative emotion and a negative overall feeling from it. And you'd think that we would just be naturally disinclined to do that. We would naturally say, oh, I'm not thinking that stuff, I'm not going there, and it's just like we're not aware how we can use our own mind to completely shift our mood, completely shift our outlook, and we almost resist it because it seems silly, while at the same time we don't even recognize that we're actively doing it to create a negative mood.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I noticed that the other day, when I was angry the other day and I thought, you know, in my anger I was like, why am I so attached to this? Why am I almost like, I want to feel it right. It's like I'm clinging to the anger. And what came to me, which I think is interesting, is that if I'm, if I cling to my anger, then it makes me right. I'm, I must be right about the situation, right, the anger is like, is like turning me into I'm the right person, that that, that doesn't. That didn't come out right like I'm, I'm right about the situation, right even though I'm not right. But if you know, like it's, I think it's a human being. It's natural for human beings to want to be right, because if we're not right, then what does that mean about us?
Speaker 3:Well, I think we're trying to be, and it's why we resist this easy method of just shifting your thoughts and thinking something that our initial reaction to it's just not true, right, but it can be true.
Speaker 3:And I think it's a cause and effect thing, I think. To nail it down, it's a cause and effect thing. Your negative thoughts cause your negative mood. Your negative mood does not occur all by itself. It doesn't start out of nowhere. It starts with negative thought processes and sometimes those things are embedded in us as habits. Right, we just wake up.
Speaker 3:And the instant we wake up, we drop into some of these negative mind habits that we have that things are going to be hard, that things are going to be difficult, that I hate my job, that I hate going to be difficult, that I hate my job, that I hate going to work, that I hate having to fulfill these responsibilities that I've taken on.
Speaker 3:These are just automatic things and and the magic is in grabbing them and stopping right there and and I think the insight is seeing this as cause and effect and realizing that you don't have to do that. That might be a habit. It might occur really naturally, it might occur really quickly, it might occur in a way that is so practiced that you can't really see a crack in that system to change it, really see a crack in that system to change it. But it can be changed and that system is full of cracks, because it doesn't lead to anything positive. And it's even to the point. I believe, that when we shift our thoughts and we start thinking positive things and we start to engage positive thought processes, that we almost feel like we're lying, we're making stuff up.
Speaker 3:That isn't true, because, don't you know, life is awful, life is hard life is miserable, right, like we're supposed, we've got that so deeply programmed in us that it seems like a fact. But it can't be a fact because it's an interpretation and a meaning. To see certain words, you know to say miserable, something is miserable. Well, there's no measurement for miserable. There's no factual basis for miserable. Miserable is an interpretation and a judgment and an evaluation of something, of anything. It is not factually provable, right, you can't prove that something is miserable.
Speaker 1:You can certainly prove that you feel miserable because you're going to act that way way but to say that life is miserable is not a factual thing.
Speaker 3:I can say today the Sun is shining, and that's just a fact. Right here in this place, it's bright sunlight. There are stark shadows, there's bright light. I'm squinting it that that's a fact. But when I say it's beautiful out, well, that's an interpretation. That's a fact. But when I say it's beautiful out, well, that's an interpretation, that's a judgment. Right, and it could be the opposite. It could be raining right now and I can say then, well, it's raining, and that's factual and that's measurable, that's provable.
Speaker 3:But I might say it's miserable out and that's not provable. That's just a judgment call. That's an interpretation. The ducks and the geese when it's raining, they don't not approval. That's just a judgment call. That's an interpretation. The ducks and the geese when it's raining, they don't have a problem with that. To them it's not miserable. Right, it's a whole different kind of thing. The fish love it when it rains because it washes all kinds of new food into the water. Right, they're miserable is a judgment call. But we have these things programmed into us that we don't pause and think about. Yeah.
Speaker 3:And we don't experiment. You know well I shouldn't say that Some people experiment with quite literally thinking differently and seeing how that makes them feel. I mean, the simple experiment you could conduct yourself right now is to think about some kind of horrible event in your life and see how you feel. And now think about some kind of wonderful event in your life and see how you feel. And that experiment alone should prove to you that when you deliberately think of things, it affects your mood. This is just simple, simple stuff.
Speaker 3:And in truth we're just so habituated in how we think and what we think and how we interpret that life becomes miserable because we make it that way and to say that some people's going to have an immediate reaction.
Speaker 3:Oh, don't talk like that. It is miserable. Have you seen the world today? Did you read the news? There's a lot of reasons to take the step from neutral to miserable. But there's a lot of reasons to take the step from neutral to miserable. But there's a lot of reasons to take the step from neutral to positive, to happy, to glorious, to beautiful. This is a simple, simple idea. It's what we, it's, it's it's what our business is based on. It's what our podcast is based on. It's what our podcast is based on. We've said it before, we've said it a million times and it really needs, I think, if everyone took the opportunity to embrace the idea that they can control their thoughts, that they can control what's going to go on in their mind, that they can train that mind, they can release thoughts that cause negative interpretations and negative emotions. They can deliberately think positive thoughts that create positive emotions.
Speaker 3:For no other reason than to just feel better. I mean, what don't we do to feel better? We drink coffee to feel better, right. We eat donuts to feel better, right, we eat donuts to feel better, right? We sometimes, you know, do engage in really healthy activities because they make us feel and we think we're living better, right? So everything is just about trying to feel and live and be better. And you can use your thoughts and maybe I'm, you know, preaching to the choir here because if you're listening to this podcast, you're probably already one of those people that's open to that idea. But it's just such a simple idea and it's such a powerful idea, such an effective idea. And that leads us to. The other day we talked about self-hypnosis and now we're finally getting around to talk about some techniques in self-hypnosis. And self-hypnosis is allowing yourself to shift your awareness from the external world to the internal world and then deliberately considering new ideas that have an effect on your mood.
Speaker 3:And if they have an effect on your mood, they'll have an effect on your mood. They'll have an effect on your behavior, and if they have an effect on your behavior, they'll have an effect on the outcomes in your life.
Speaker 2:And just as negative patterns can reinforce themselves, so can positive patterns reinforce themselves, and so self-hypnosis is just deliberately doing that yeah, putting yourself into a state of releasing stuff that you've been holding on to old patterns, beliefs, feelings but doing it on purpose, right, purposefully going into that state.
Speaker 3:Choosing your thoughts is an amazing thing, right? People are always happy to put thoughts in your head. People are always happy to share their bad news. People are always happy to criticize, complain. We feel like we're justified, Like you say we're right, I'm correct in this Life is crap right, and we're correct in complaining, but that correctness is not helpful and it doesn't do anything to actually move us forward and move us into solution rather than problem. I think you know what I want to really talk about today. What we said we talked about today is what we call the ladder. The ladder, like a series of rungs that you can climb up. The ladder, is a neat technique that we've used with clients. I sort of messed with it a few months ago and we discussed it now. You've used it directly with clients. How many times.
Speaker 2:Once, just once, yeah.
Speaker 3:I've done it a couple of times now. What's your experience in using this thought process? We'll describe it in a minute, yeah.
Speaker 2:So it helps you. You, you go from a state of telling yourself statements that are sort of saying to yourself that, um, you're not in control of your life, um, and then you move through the statements until you are saying positive things that give you that feeling of I'm in control of my destiny, and you mentioned sort of the same thing was happening is somewhere on that ladder, when you go through the statements, there's a little bit of tension, there's a little bit of resistance, and the client is very aware of it, it seems. So when that awareness arises, then there's a there's like okay, we need to work on this, we need to work on this. It points out the limiting belief, it points out the resistance to work on, and then you can feel freer, better, moving through the rest of the ladder.
Speaker 2:that's and believing it and believing it to be true yeah, that's my experience with it too.
Speaker 3:I literally had one client go oh, oh yeah, like when I made one of the statements in the ladder. They reacted to with oh, that one really gets me right. Um, the ladder is just a series of statements you would say to yourself that will help you isolate or discover, as Hillary says, the limiting belief, the idea that you carry around that inhibits your belief in what's true. I think there's a massive lie that gets propagated all through the world, certainly in our society, certainly within families, and the lie is Really exposed when you tell the truth. The truth is that I am free to do Anything I want, I am free to have anything Anything I want, I am free to be anything I want, and when you say that to most people they react really harshly. I am not.
Speaker 3:And when you examine deeper, what is it that causes you to think that you're not free to do or have or be anything you want? Most people will discover that it is their own thoughts that are inhibiting, that that there's nobody out there trying to stop them, that there's nobody out there who's trying to really get in the way of them pursuing their dreams.
Speaker 3:What's really happening is that there's a whole thought system that they've adopted that starts off suggesting that you're not allowed, you're not permitted, the world is not going to let you. These kinds of thoughts come to you, but the evidence for them, the factual basis for them, is pretty small. The truth is, the vast majority of people don't give a hoot about anybody else, right? The vast majority of people aren't spending any time thinking about others. Every once in a while, they might be caught off guard by somebody else's behavior and react negatively to it. But even that, that's about them. That's not about you, and it's not really that you can't. You know, do have or be anything you want. It's that others might react to it from time to time and they should just be ignored. Right? That's their baggage. That's the programming that's inside them that says I can't. This is a huge, huge thing.
Speaker 3:Because right now I know there are people listening saying, oh, that's not true. Except when you examine it and you say, well, well, what's actually getting in the way? You're going to find that the only thing getting in the way is you. Yes, there might be some external forces that react to it. You know what I?
Speaker 3:I remember being 18 years old and telling my parents I wanted to be a musician and they didn't react really well. It didn't change the fact that I could have done it and in fact, in many respects I did do it and I did move in that direction in my life. Yes, it would have been nice if my parents did that. You can be anything you want, son. You go for it. Right, that would have been nice, but it wouldn't have changed the struggle much. It's still a struggle with myself. It's still a commitment of myself by myself for myself to make that happen. When we become aware that most of the resistance that we experience in our life as we pursue what we want to do, what we want to have, what we want to be, is bad programming that exists inside us, now we're. When we realize that we're focused on the right place. Now we're focused internally. We're focused where the struggle is, where the great battle will be.
Speaker 2:You know said that a million times the greatest battles on this planet take place inside the human mind yeah, I'm just sitting here thinking, um, my whip, in my experience, um, and this can be, if it can be me, it can be for anybody is, in my experience, people, um, people actually like supporting each other when they, when they feel like they can Um, I shouldn't say all people, but, um, you know, I, I, when I seem to talk about my dreams, people get on board.
Speaker 2:They're, they're like let me help you, right, like, and I think there's a back and forth with that. Right, when somebody helps you, you help them. And then I'm immediately brought to that and I don't want to get too far off track here, but I just want to say that idea of the five people you surround yourself with, right, with people that I can work with and help them, and they are passionate about helping me and I'm passionate about helping them, and so everybody's sort of lifting each other at the same time, in a sense, if they can, right. But I think back then I start to think, of course, my mind goes to the programming as you grow up If you're surrounded by people that are not helpful or just have no passion or interest in helping.
Speaker 3:Can I suggest that there are people that are filled with fear. Yes, they're afraid, they're afraid. They're afraid of things that we call failure. They're afraid of things that we call poverty. They're afraid of these things that really are much more reflective of effort than chance yeah. And they're really loving us. When my parents said to me oh, we're not going to give you permission to do this, You're going to finish high school and you're smart enough If you wanted to go on for more education.
Speaker 3:you can't. We're not going to make you. But my parents weren't saying that because they wanted to hurt me. They didn't say that because they wanted to limit me. They said that because they were afraid for me. Yeah.
Speaker 3:They were afraid that I might go down a path that was going to result in being poor. Yeah, and being unable to take care of myself and being disappointed and hurt. Right, so you can. When you're around people that are not what you would call supportive, don't see them as people that are negative. See them as people who are afraid. Yeah.
Speaker 3:They're afraid. They have a lot of fear, and it's so important to understand that when you're positive right, when you are pursuing the things you really want to do or have or be pursuing the things you really want to do or have or be, when you're pursuing that, you are giving others permission to do the same. That's why they like being around people like that, because it's like oh, look at them, they're so inspired, they're moving forward, they're taking chances, they're doing something different, they're doing something that is something different. They're doing something that is out of the ordinary. And it really is a statement that you're making to the world and that others love to see, where you say I'm going to do what I want, I'm going to do what I'm compelled to do, I'm going to do what I dream of doing, I'm going to be and create a personality that makes me happy with me, regardless of what other people think. Yeah.
Speaker 3:By doing it, you give others permission, and that's why they want to be around you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's why they like being around you, yeah.
Speaker 2:And then I think you know I and this is totally personal, my personal experiences and leads us into the self-hypnosis which I need to be doing is okay, so many people around me believe in me and are, on you know, engaged in being helpful, and they're inspired and I'm inspired. Why am I not moving forward? Right, so it's. And then you start to look at okay, if everyone around me is lifting and I'm sitting not being lifted or, you know, helping myself being lifted, then, like you said in the beginning, it is me that's holding me back. So what is it about my thoughts that are holding me back?
Speaker 3:and that's, that's just true. It's just true for everyone, right, and there's nothing, nothing to judge here. It's incredibly normal to be very practical. It's incredibly normal to continue with the mental habits that you've always had. It's really normal to receive fearful restrictions from the people who love us, a in a in a commitment to that love for us. They're putting stuff in our mind that's not helpful, it's not gonna get us where we want to go, it's not gonna lift us up, it's not gonna empower us, it's not gonna push us towards it. Right, and so it. It's really normal that that happens.
Speaker 3:So don't judge yourself, don't get caught up in that. Oh geez, this is, this is um, this is my problem and this is my habit. Just understand that. That's all it is. It's just a habit, and habits can change. It's just somebody else's thoughts and that's all it is's just a habit and habits can change. It's just somebody else's thoughts and that's all it is and it doesn't. And it can change.
Speaker 3:I can have different thoughts, and that's where self-hypnosis kicks in, and that's what we're really talking about, because I've been um, I've been putting most of my mental energy over the last couple of months in creating a self-hypnosis program that really overcomes this stuff, and in doing that, there's been just wonderful moments of inspiration I'm going to even use the word guidance towards some really simple tools and ideas, and one of those tools is a ladder, and it's time to just talk about the ladder, yeah Right.
Speaker 3:So understand that all this resistance is internal, and that resistance is probably either that we don't feel like we're allowed to, or we don't feel like we're worthy to, or we don't feel like we can overcome what might come our way, or we don't feel like we're meant to do this, that we're not meant to have this or do this, that we're not meant to have this or do this, or that somehow our will is out of line with the will of the whole there's all these levels and aspects that are forms of resistance and we're all got varying degrees of allowing and encouraging and feeling worthy and deserving.
Speaker 3:Worthy and deserving. But if you were to take something that you really, really wanted to do right now, something that you know inside you there's resistance. You think about that thing you want to do and you immediately feel some kind of tension or anxiety or or just downright fear or if nothing else, just a real resistance that on the one, one part of your mind, one part of you, of your, of your thoughts, is oh, I want this. And then there's that immediate sort of negative reaction to it.
Speaker 3:First of all, that's normal. There's nothing wrong with you. To want something and then feel a negative reaction to it is really, really common. You know, everybody ends up in our chair basically feeling that stuff. So now you think about the thing you really want to do. And you think about the thing you really want to do and you think about that resistance and our self-hypnosis program is really going to be based in I am statements. I am is just a powerful, powerful idea. I am is in the present moment. I am is a form of claiming. Saying this is what I am. I am is a, an invocation of take and be what you want to be, and so this whole system is in I am statements.
Speaker 3:And you'll say these words to yourself and you'll react to them. Some of the reactions will be yeah, of course, and some of the reactions will be oh, oh, that's where it is, that's where my resistance is, and don't be surprised if the resistance is in multiple places. And yeah, we're using this with others in hypnosis. I'm using it on myself every day now and it's having just such a marked impact on me, just the way I wake up, the way I feel, the way I approach things. So I'm telling you that I'm experimenting on myself and it is a really positive experiment. So, um, hillary, what are the first three on the ladder? You've got it in front of you. Yeah, the first three on the ladder, go ahead so it's.
Speaker 2:I am permitted to, I am entitled to, I am allowed to.
Speaker 3:So finish that statement with anything you want. Let's use the example to do. Yeah. Right. So you might be thinking right now of something you want to do that just isn't getting done and you say to yourself I am permitted to this thing, whatever it is, I am entitled, yeah, to this thing. I am allowed to do this thing yeah, so I'll use my book.
Speaker 2:I am permitted to write my book, I am entitled to write my book. I am entitled to write my book and I am allowed to write my book. Yeah, and may I keep going with that. And this is what basically is going to happen with most everybody in this program is, if they're doing this is when we say we're permitted to or allowed to, even it's a it's almost like an external, an external person is allowing me to write my book, right, an external person is allowing me to write my book, right, and that's not where we want to be. But we're moving up, where we're challenging ourselves and we're shifting how we feel that in the body. Right, if I am permitted to, let's say, let's use money, because everybody sort of thinks about that, I think so if I'm saying I'm permitted to make money, that means that someone else is controlling the outcome. Right, and we want to move up the ladder, which we'll talk about, into owning that. Can I jump in there?
Speaker 3:So it's important to understand that words have a vibration, they have an emotional element to them, they have a feel to them, and that feel is something we feel through the whole of our body. Yeah, and so you might be thinking about something you want to do and I say you're in, I am entitled to do that thing, and you might react to that and, as hillary says, that's, that's a sense that there are external controls on us that we can't move past yeah right, and so the vibration of that step on the ladder is really that shackles fall away.
Speaker 3:When we tell ourselves I am permitted to, I am entitled to, I am allowed to the shackles, the sense of being controlled can start to fall away, and that overall feeling then is sort of I am free. Yeah. And for some people, that's where it all ends Right there, I'm not free, I don't feel free, I don't feel free, I don't feel like I'm permitted, I don't feel like I'm entitled, I don't feel like I'm allowed. And for some people it stops right there and that's why they don't move forward with these things.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:So, if that's the one that's vibrating for you, that's the one that triggers you, just feel that of the idea that the shackles of life are falling away. What's the second step on?
Speaker 2:the ladder. I am deserving to, I am worthy to, I am free to.
Speaker 3:We have so many thoughts about ourselves that aren't positive. We have so many restrictions on ourselves. It's so interesting to see how, on the one hand, we can look at the world as restricting me, and then we start to recognize that it's not just the world, and maybe it isn't even the world. Maybe it's me just the world, and maybe it isn't even the world, maybe it's me restricting me and to sort of allow yourself right to be, to be free of all the things that might get in the way of your worthiness yeah all the things that might get in the way of your worthiness.
Speaker 3:Yeah, all the things that might get in the way of your deserving yeah. And that's got you know, a vibration of wounds falling away, the self-judgment falling away. I am worthy, I am deserving. It's sort of a a sense of I am innocent, I am free and I am innocent. There's no reasons that I, me, this person can't do, or have or be, and so there's a certain amount of forgiving self-forgiveness. That's in that one. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Next step on the ladder. I am able to, I am empowered to, I am gifted to. So you can see the difference already between you. Know first one I am gifted to. So you can see the difference already between you. Know first one I am permitted to and then I am empowered to. There's such a difference in that vibration right.
Speaker 3:And you just imagine as if you're climbing up a ladder right, and this one really is about your own insecurities and fears of your ability. It's really all about wondering if I have what it takes um, and it's so important to accept that you can learn anything right. There's no such thing as failure. People, just people just quit trying, and if you're not going to quit trying, then those skills are going to develop, those abilities are going to develop and you everyone, you have the raw ability to learn really just about anything, and any resistance to that ability is really some kind of self-program that you took on somewhere along the way and it just isn't true. So it's really about fears falling away and that's just really the overall statement of I am capable.
Speaker 3:Now, if that's where you're triggered right, then that's where you need to do your work. If that's where you're getting pinged and you're saying, oh, then that's where you need to do your work. If that's where you're getting pinged and you're saying, oh, I don't know if I could do that, then that's where you need to do the work and that's where the reframing that we might use in hypnosis.
Speaker 3:That's where the reframing needs to come in in this case. So that's that third step of the ladder. So now the external forces are not in the way, now internal judgments are not in the way, and now internal fears are not in the way, and you can say I am free, I am innocent, I am capable, and if you can say those things, then you find yourself almost ready to launch, almost ready to jump in. But then comes the fear. More overall sense of should I, could I Right what's the next step on the ladder?
Speaker 2:I am encouraged to, I am supported to, I am assisted to.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, I think a lot of us aren't aware that this general idea that we're not alone. We're surrounded by people who love us, we're surrounded by people who support us, as your experience is with writing, where you just go to a workplace with some friends and you share your ideas and they immediately say that's incredible, that's wonderful. They start supporting you. Sometimes, when we just step out and we say I'm going to do this, other people are immediately supportive to do this, other people are immediately supportive. Yes, some might be immediately fearful, but many are going to be immediately supportive. They want to see you succeed. And then I think it's important to understand that you know we're not alone. When we decide to come into this world and take on these challenges, we are gifted support from the other side. Whatever kinds of non-physical support you want to label it. You are guided and you are supported and you are loved, and it's so important to know that.
Speaker 3:I think for some people, they've had that experience and they know that. They're very aware of that. There are people out there who spend every day, you know, talking to their guides and that's beautiful, and I think there are some people who just really feel alone and maybe this is where they ping. Where they ping is I'm not being supported externally, I'm not being assisted, I'm not being encouraged. Right, and this is where the work is gonna be right. When, when we ping on that point, this is where you might spend some time in meditation, where you might spend some time with these I am statements and just open yourself up to experience that support. Right, this is, this is where assistance arrives.
Speaker 3:Assistance comes and this is where we start to experience the idea that I am loved, and for many of us that's what we need to take that next step. Yeah, yeah. Any thoughts on that?
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think when, at least when I feel into the words, when my client that I took through, they felt into the words, these words as we climbed the ladder, the ones that we're getting into now, where we're encouraged and assisted, and those words, those really helped them feel expansion, this really nice connected feeling, and I understand that because when I say those words to myself, I feel really connected as well and and just almost excited to start or do whatever I'm allowed, you know, telling myself I'm allowed to do through the ladder, right and empowered to do and assisted to do.
Speaker 3:And I guess it's important to remember. These are words and words are symbols of symbols, and for each of us the meaning has its own nuance, its own vibration. And what we're doing as we create this ladder is we're really trying to find words that vibrate and have, at the same time, a meaning, a common meaning in most people's minds, that they're empowering, they're expanding, and so the next couple of steps on the ladder we really get much more ethereal, much more spiritual, much more spiritual, and we step into the idea that we had a plan for our life, we had a goal for our life. We had things we wanted to do, to have to be right. We didn't set out in this life for it to be easy.
Speaker 3:The whole purpose in doing and having and being these things was to grow and expand and now to have a sense that there's a purpose behind all of this suffering right, that there's value in this series of difficulties we bump into while we're living. That starts to give a whole new meaning to the difficulties we face. They go from being problems and complaints to challenges and growth, to complaints to challenges and growth, and we can almost get to the point where we appreciate the challenges when they come because we do grow from them and we sense that growth in ourselves. So the next step on the ladder is really about the planning part. So what are those?
Speaker 2:Mm-hmm really about the planning part.
Speaker 3:So what are the, what's the, what are those mm-hmm. So it is I plan to, I intended to, I am meant to, and for a lot of people those ones ping right, but they don't necessarily ping with fear, they ping almost with motivation mm-hmm yeah they resonate with those ago.
Speaker 3:Oh, my goodness, I really did. I really did plan on doing this, I really am meant to do this and that's just really about the idea of will, right intention and will, and they're really just about reminding you that you are in your plan, I am in my plan, I am, I am in engaging this to do and engaging this to have and engaging this to be. I am in the plan that I made. Now, for some people, this is new thinking, but allow it. Just see how it feels those emotions inside you when you say those phrases I am planned to, I am intended to, I am meant to those emotions inside there are worth examining. Yeah, so engaging my will is the general vibration and the last step on the ladder.
Speaker 3:I am created to, I am guided to, I am destined to yeah, that's accepting a higher will, that's accepting that there's a higher order to things, that's accepting that you're part higher order to things. That's accepting that you're part of that higher order and that this is your role within that higher order. That, yes, simply, you know, simply deciding that you want to have something, simply deciding that you want to do something, is motivation that comes from a much higher place than we really know and that we really acknowledge. And it's embracing that higher will, a will that is expansive and goes beyond just our own will. And in aligning our will with that will and in aligning our will with that will, it's amazing that the meaning we can get from that, it's amazing the awareness that we can get from that, and that's just an overall higher will vibration and it's a statement of I am in my knowing. Yeah.
Speaker 3:I am in my awareness of truth, and that doing so is for so much more than just me. There's a higher purpose here.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I think for listeners I'm going to give the contrast now. So I'll use my book as an example. So we'll start at the first three and then we'll skip everything and just go to the top. So the first one is I am permitted to write my book, I'm entitled to write my book and I'm allowed to write my book. And then we go up through what we talked about but just feel the difference or hear the difference. I am created to write my book, I am guided to write my book and I'm destined to write my book. Totally different vibration.
Speaker 3:It's embracing purpose, and when you can embrace purpose, the motivation just shoots way up. When you see it as purpose, your motivation shoots way up, and and so this, this ladder, really culminates, I think, and sort of two big ideas. I am free and I am love.
Speaker 3:Anyway, I hope that you sort of played along with the exercise and got a sense of where your pings are and got a sense of how these statements these I am statements can be empowering. And let's just contrast that with where we started. It's really easy, I think, to wake up in the morning and have this little thing in the back of your head of what you dream of doing, what you really want to do, get quickly dismissed yeah oh yeah, well, whatever I got to get on with work, I got to go do my thing, I gotta.
Speaker 3:I gotta pay my bills, I got to right, it's very easy to quickly dismiss that. That's not possible. That's just going to get me into trouble. Those represent a thought pattern that can change, yeah. And engaging these thoughts, this idea of a ladder of emotional vibrational growth, where you go from feeling like you can't to going to feeling like you're destined to Right. That. That's your great purpose.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, and I think for if you're still listening, I can't believe it's almost been an hour If you're asking yourself well, what do I do with the ping? What happens then? Whatever? So just say you had the ping happen at I am worthy to. All you have to do is turn it around and this is what we do in hypnosis every day Turn it around and find the limiting belief. The limiting belief would be I am not worthy to, right, that's why it's pinging, because your body's not agreeing with I am worthy to. So all you have to do is turn it around and notice that, okay, I'm saying to myself, I guess that I am not worthy to.
Speaker 2:And where is that feeling in my body? And just to give a quick technique at the end of this talked about this technique before is just imagine that that feeling. You're just sort of taking it out of the body in a sense, in an energetic sense, let's say. And you're bringing up whoever made you feel this way and again, we're not judging anybody here, but you're giving that feeling, that thought I am not worthy, back to whoever gave that to you. And you're saying this is not mine, I'm letting this go. And then, to cap it off, you tell that person or people you don't have to hang on to this either. You can give it back to whoever made you feel this way and then, once you've released that, then, once you've released that, see how you feel moving up the ladder. Right, it should have at that point released something, right?
Speaker 3:Jiggle things free and you can find it a lot easier to move up. Yeah, and that's what we do, right? That's what we're about. Like, if you're working this stuff and you're saying, geez, you know I need some help, Well that's why we're here and you can use just repetition. You can use this releasing technique, this giving back of a limiting belief. You can spend some time on it, just understanding it and trying to look through it and see what's true and what's not true.
Speaker 3:But it's amazing how this reveals to us, most importantly, that almost all of the resistance we have to our own happiness is some idea inside us that we really need to get rid of. It isn't true. The opposite is true, and you're in control of this. This is your mind, this is your opportunity, this is your empowerment to take control of what you want. Anyway, I hope that helps.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think it does All right.
